This depends heavily on your choice of concept. Some customers want to have all modules installed in one vehicle. Other customers choose a towing vehicle with a trailer. The modular systems are designed in such a way that they can be “multifunctionally”connected to each other. This concept allows a high degree of flexible use.

Are there operating instructions for the system solution?

Yes, there are detailed operating instructions in several languages. At the same time, the touch screen on the module is also multilingual in use. There is also documentation on the use of cleaning and treatment agents developed by Swiss Drone Services AG.

Can I use the drone to clean all types of building envelopes?

The cleaning and treatment of all types of buildings is possible in principle, but drone technology is not the solution for all problems or areas of application. There are also limits to the feasibility of drone technology, especially in the case of obstacles close to the object (tall vegetation, trees, lanterns, etc.), which may impair the use of a drone.

What daily performance can I achieve when cleaning or treating surfaces?

This is highly dependent on the object, the size and the corresponding surface (degree of soiling, etc.), but also on the pilot’s flying experience. In general, the time saved is between 4 and 12 times faster than with conventional surface cleaning or surface treatment.

With additional components and the use of RTK (Real-time Kinematic), this inaccuracy can be significantly reduced and the drone can be flown much more precisely on the building envelope and held in position. Module 1 - Basic module

The heart of the CleaningDrones – the SDS cleaning system.

In addition to the high-pressure pump, various mixing and feed pumps, tanks for cleaning agents, a power generator, various hose reels and an intuitive control display, the basic module of the SDS cleaning system (module 1) consists primarily of a sophisticated software control system, which enables the setting of individual mixing ratios and the addition of osmosis or warm water osmosis.

The entire system is made of V4A stainless steel (frame, solenoid valves, etc.) and is therefore designed for absolute durability – equipped for the use of a wide range of cleaning agents.

Module 2 - Glass cleaning

The optionally available module for glass cleaning (module 2) contains a hot water generator and, above all, a corresponding osmosis system (resin-based) for up to 13,500 liters of osmosis water, depending on the hardness of the water supplied – both tailored to the flow rates required for daily cleaning.

Osmosis water (cold or warm) can be switched on during cleaning by the drone pilot himself using the corresponding extension of the remote control.

Module 3 - Shelf and storage drawer

An individually configurable shelf or storage pull-out is available as an option for storing or transporting additional equipment or drone accessories required for cleaning.

In addition to a V4A stainless steel frame, this is based on a heavy-duty pull-out that allows work-friendly access to all items carried.

Approval procedure

Due to its weight of up to 9.2 kg, the DJI Matrice 350-RTK is a category C3 drone which may only be operated in the OPEN category with driving license class A3.

This requires a minimum distance of 150m from uninvolved persons, residential, industrial, commercial and recreational areas. As no object can be cleaned from a distance of 150m, a SPECIFIC permit from the responsible aviation authority is required to fly close to the object to be cleaned. In Austria, Austro Control is responsible for this –

To obtain the necessary SPECIFIC approval, a so-called SORA (Specific Operational Risk Assessment) procedure is carried out, at the end of which the aviation authority issues a notice of approval, which approves the planned operation subject to corresponding conditions.

We already have the corresponding approval notice from Austro Control for the SPECIFIC category, so that we can not only already use this solution on the Austrian market, but can of course also assist you in obtaining such a notice for your company as part of a SORA process.

Training and certification for drone cleaning
